Majority of Marwadi Community of West Bengal are culturally reach– Keshava Bhattar

Three steps felicitation ceremony of Shri Champlal Mohta ‘Anokha’ is being organized by AKRIT – a literal cultural organization of Marwadi Community of West Benga. AKRIT was formed in Dec 2006. It has organized two Rajasthani plays –Mayyajaal & Futari Binani, translated from Hindi to Rajasthani by Gopal Kalwani, Secretary of AKRIT and staged successfully in his direction too. Keshava Bhattar ignited the idea of formation of organization with a view to promote literature & culture in which Rajasthani of WB are involved. It has organized “Premchand Jayanti” on 31st Aug 2009, presided by Dinesh Chandra Vajpai, former DG & IG of WB Police. Ashok Ranjan Thakur VC of WB State University, Barasat was the chief guest. The Jayanti was addressed by Dhruv Dev Mishra’ Pashan’,the veteran poet and others. On Sept. 3, 2009 Dhruv Dev Mishra ‘Pashan’ was felicitated and a dialogue was held on his poetry book ‘Patjhad Patjhad Vasant’. Later the 70 year old poet was awarded civic felicitation by Hon’ble Mayor Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, Mayor-KMC on 5th April this year. Now AKRIT is organizing felicitation of ‘Anokha’ on 25th April at Kalamandir Auditorium, Kolkata, from 10 AM. In the first step ‘Anokhi Ada’ – collection of lyrics and poems of Champalal Mohta ‘Anokha’ will be released by another veteran poet Shankar Maheshwari, book being published by AKRIT. The book is being edited by Keshav Bhattar & Sanjay Binani. Music director Amitabh Maheshwari has taken the responsibility of composition of lyrics & poems of Anokha ji and the same will be live performed in the felicitation ceremony. A souvenir,worth collection, will also be published , being edited by Ballabh Shankar Dave & Narendra Bagri. A dialogue on ‘Anokhi Ada’ will be organized on 3rd may at Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad from 5 PM in 2nd step. Undoubtedly this is a turning point of Marwadi community of WB. Actor-Director Gopal Kalwani, Secretary, expressed. We want to bring out the best of Marwadi Community of WB, said Harinarayan Rathi, President. Similar Views was expressed by Sushil Kumar Rathi, working Secretary, & Brijmohan Lal Damani, Finance Secretary of AKRIT. Chairman of reception committee Bulaki Das Bhaiya is very keen and excited for the grand event of Marwadis. We will do our best, Mr bhaiya said. Convenir Keshava Bhattar hopes that AKRIT will be cultural bridge between natives and others. In the third steps a documentary on ‘Anokha’ will be released, direction made by Keshava Bhattar. “His lyrics are power full as well as express socio-progressive trend. Indian cinema will be reacher by using his lyrics.”, said Music Director Amitabh Maheshwari. Maruti Mohta, Durga Kothari, Soma Maheshwari, Ritu Rathi and Basant Mohta, Arun Damani, Kishan Harsh has given their voice to the lyrics. Is the event shows upcoming of Middle class Marwadis in the state? “Definitely, YES, the majority of Marwadi Community of West Bengal belongs to middle class and they are culturally very great.” says Keshava Bhatter, the convener.
